Greenstore heat source pumps - Worcester Bosch Leading boiler and solar manufacturer, Worcester, part of the Bosch Group, is launching a new system for home heating - Greenstore ground source heat pumps (GSHPs). Ground source heat pumps are set to revolutionise the way homes are heated in the future, as they efficiently heat the home with reduced impact on the environment. With rising fuel bills and concerns over climate change, homeowners are increasingly asking about renewable technologies for their home heating requirements. Worcester heat pumps are available as a system variant for use with separate cylinders for the production of hot water. Worcester heat pumps are intended to be the sole source of heating and hot water production for the home giving the home owner the option of removing the existing heat source from the property and in most cases, making the heat pump the only source. A recent survey by the Energy Saving Trust, found that over 85% of people would consider installing green technology in their home to reduce bills. Tony Nott, product manager for new technologies at Worcester, Bosch Group, comments on the recent success of renewables: ''Our Greenskies solar panels have been extremely popular with homeowners and we expect the Greenstore heat pumps to follow this example. Ground source heat pumps really are one of the technologies of the future; they can reduce household bills and our impact on the environment, making them very appealing to homeowners. The system is capable of heating the whole home and is ideal for providing under floor heating.'' Installation Costs Each installation is unique to the property but typically installations cost from £7,000-£12,000.
