The NEW Quartz -Zone Radiant Heater1500 is an easy to install wall mount heater for situations where a standalone unit is impracticable. Direct heat SILENT – no noise from gas burning… CLEAN – no smells and almost maintenance free… COMPACT – easy to store when not in use… EFFECTIVE – instant infrared heat at start up… EFFICIENT – shortwave infrared only heats the surfaces it meets… ECONOMICAL – low running costs of approximately 11p/kW/hr Quartz heaters are high intensity radiant appliances; using tungsten -halogen lamps as the energy source. The lamps radiate their energy primarily in the short -wave infrared waveband with high energy conversion efficiency and good heat penetrating properties. The heater is supplied complete with an angular fixing bracket. Its construction makes it suitable for all types of outdoor situations. SAFETY NOTES a) The heater should not be operated in ambient temperatures greater than 300C (860F); otherwise the life of the quartz unit could be shortened. b) The heater should not be operated in areas subject to excessive dust. c) The heaters must be mounted with the Quartz element in the horizontal position. d) This radiant heater is capable of projecting a significant amount of radiant energy for a considerable distance in front of the reflector. Great care should be taken with its mounting if there are flammable materials in the vicinity. This heater must not be used in areas subject to flammable vapours such as paint solvents or petrol fumes. e) Do not touch the heater with wet hands. f) When unplugging the heater from the socket; pull on the plug; not the cable or heater itself. g) Heater must be used with adult supervision. h) Avoid improper use of extension leads. i) Should the power lead become damaged do not use the appliance.
