Solid walls may be built of brick, dense block or thermal (lightweight) block. Identify which type you have by drilling a test hole and examining the drill dust. Reddish or yellowish dust shows you have brick walls. Dark grey dust (and slow drill progress) shows you have concrete block walls. Light grey dust (and easy drill progress) shows you have thermal block walls. Uses simple expansion to maintain a secure fixing. They can be used in a wide variety of applications in sound brickwork, stone and concrete. It is essential that the correct drill and screw sizes be used in order to ensure a secure fixing. Greater loads are achieved by using longer and larger screws. Drill diameter measures 7mm. Screw size measures 4.5mm to 7.5mm, numbers 8, 10, 12 and 14. Suitable for use with the following building materials. Brick. Concrete. Stone.
