Helpful with a wide variety of problems including skin conditions such as eczema and dermatitis. Also helps relieve the symptoms of stiffness, arthritis and rheumatism and can improve general health by removing toxins from the body. Useful in treating kidney and bladder problems. Using herbal medicines to treat animals is not a new idea. Given the opportunity, cats and dogs will seek out wild plants such as garlic, dandelion, cleavers, couchgrass and nettles to help heal themselves when they are ill. Modern pets, however, often have to be content with processed foods and synthetic vitamins, with only limited access to medicinal plants. Once widely prescribed by vets, few, if any, herbs remain in regular veterinary use today - a sad legacy which fails to appreciate their remarkable healing powers. Herbal remedies, combined with a healthy diet, can produce real benefits in the health and general well-being of your pet. Directions: Giving tablets to your cat or dog: Ideally you should hide tablets, either whole or crushed, in your pets food or in a strong-tasting snack. Crushed tablets can also be mixed with butter, which helps to disguise the taste. If you prefer to give tablets directly to your pet, cats and smaller dogs should be wrapped in a towel and held firmly by a helper. Gently tilt their head back and press on the corners of the mouth to open it, then pull the lower jaw down and push the tablet to the back of the throat. Close the mouth and stroke your pets throat until the tablet is swallowed. For larger dogs, gently tilt the head back and, using one hand on the top jaw and one on the lower, gradually open the mouth and place the tablet at the back of your dogs tongue. Close the mouth and hold the head up until the pill is swallowed.
