Garden sundials make a permanent and memorable gift and are particularly suitable as a retirement gift or to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, Christmas or wedding. Measuring 9 1/4” (24cm) across the dial is engraved with the hours, in roman numerals from 5am to 7pm. Sundial make an unusual and attractive addition to any garden. Crafted in solid brass it is not precision instrument but it will show the passing of time. It is finished with an artificial patina which will rapidly weather down to give the appearance of a dark verdigris. Your sundial needs to be set on top of a plinth, pedestal, balustrade, wall or tree stump in sunny area in your garden with the gnomon (that casts the shadow) pointing due north (instructions are supplied with each of my sundials).
