The BeSafe iZi Up car seat is suitable for children aged 5 to 12 years (up to 135cm tall approximately) and is especially helpful for keeping children with special needs secure while travelling. This modern car seat has a handy swivel base addition which makes it extremely easy for parents to get their child in and out of the car seat, reducing manual handling risks. The seat has been tested with adjustable side wings, pommel, adjustable headrest, vest, crotch strap, turntable and extra thigh support. All tested in accordance with ECE4404. The seat is supplied with a 5 point seat belt to hold your child securely and the option of a vest retainer to keep more active children safely in their car seat. The optional turntable allows you to turn the seat out towards the car door and put the user in the seat, before turning it in again. You can hear a click when the turntable has locked in the direction of travel. It may be necessary for larger users to have the back supported while the seat is turned. Both the angle and height of the back can be adjusted. The back angle can be adjusted by around 15 by the lever at the side of the seat. The back returns automatically to the upright position when the child is removed from the seat. The iZi Up car seat is also very lightweight and weighs just 8kg, making it even easier for the seat to be moved between cars or from the house to the car.
