Along with Snowdrops Aconite Eranthis are one of the earliest bulbs to bloom emerging in the gloom of early February. The flowers themselves resemble Buttercups but have a green collar at the base of the flower. The tubers are rather small and will benefit from a 24 hour soak before planting. Plant 5cm deep 8cm apart 150 per sq metre. Our bulb supplier has been selected due to the high standard of products supplied. The packs supplied are larger than that of other suppliers and this is because our packs have generally been designed for use in planting areas. Large bulbs plant 20cm deep 20cm apart 25 per sq metre. Small bulbs plant 10cm deep 10cm apart 100 per sq metre.
