Acacia dunnii
Product Ref: 5500/31509000
One of the most unusual of all Acacias is this rare species from Western Australia, and one of the most beautiful with eye-catching, silver-blue leaves (phyllodes) up to 14 ins. long, and said to be ear-like! The rich burnished gold flowers are followed by very large grey seed pods also said to be ear-like! Although not a particularly large shrub or tree, it can reach the 21 ft. or so it does in the wild in only the second or third year from seed, which germinates rapidly after the above treatment. Although perhaps not the easiest plant to accommodate in your greenhouse, we thought that it was so unusual that many of you would want to try it - when it starts pushing off the roof, you will just have to take evasive action! Packet of 8 seeds.
